Emily Powell pledges to run for The National Autistic Society
In May of this year, Emily will be helping a friend raise money for the National Autistic Society – a charity very close to her due to her son’s condition. First, she will be running in the Birmingham half marathon on 7th May and then two weeks later walking the Yorkshire 3 peaks.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is 24-miles (38.6km) round trip route, and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent and takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These hills form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
We are sure Emily would more than welcome any sponsorship. In the first instance why not drop her an email at accounts@hme-tech.com Her target is to raise £350.00 and every little helps!
